Meet Our Optometrists

Dr. Tod Gerhardt

Dr. Tod Gerhardt is a 2005 graduate of University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry, located in St. Louis. Dr. Gerhardt completed his training at the Veterans Hospital, Southwest Medical Center, and TLC Eye Center in St. Louis. Dr. Gerhardt’s professional interests are in eye disease, contact lenses, pediatrics, and laser vision correction. Dr. Gerhardt is a member of the American Optometric Association, and the Iowa Optometric Association.

Dr. Gerhardt originates from Burlington, Iowa.  He has two sons, Connor and Carter and a daughter Addison.

Dr. Abby Granera

Dr. Abby Granera is a 2018 graduate of University of the Incarnate Word-Rosenberg School of Optometry, located in San Antonio, TX. Dr. Granera completed her training at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Amarillo, TX, UIW Eye Institute in San Antonio, TX and Golden Eye Associates in Carthage, TX.  Dr. Granera’s professional interests include pediatrics, contact lenses, ocular disease, and primary care. Dr. Granera is a member of the Gold Key International Optometric Association, Beta Sigma Kappa honor society, the American Optometric Association, and the Iowa Optometric Association. Dr. Granera is originally from Keokuk, IA and completed her undergraduate degree at The University of Iowa. She and her husband have two daughters, Charleigh and Rory. 

Dr. Logan Granera

Dr. Logan Granera is a 2018 graduate of University of the Incarnate Word-Rosenberg School of Optometry, located in San Antonio, TX. Dr. Granera completed his training at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Amarillo, TX, UIW Eye Institute in San Antonio, TX and Golden Eye Associates in Carthage, TX.  Dr. Granera’s professional interests include primary eye care, pediatrics, contact lenses, ocular disease, and laser vision correction. Dr. Granera is a member of Beta Sigma Kappa honor society, the American Optometric Association, and the Iowa Optometric Association. Dr. Granera is originally from Keokuk, IA and completed his undergraduate degree at Grinnell College. He and his wife have two daughters, Charleigh and Rory.

Dr. Matthew Ruhl

Dr. Matthew Ruhl is a 2005 graduate of University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry, located in St. Louis. Dr. Ruhl completed his training at the Veterans Hospital, Southwest Medical Center, and Pediatric Specialty Clinic in St. Louis. Dr. Ruhl’s professional interests include primary eye care, pediatric and binocular vision, eye disease, contact lenses, and laser vision correction. Dr. Ruhl is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Iowa Optometric Association.

Dr. Ruhl is originally from Hannibal, Missouri. He has one son, Remy, and 3 daughters, Sydney, Chloe and Delaney.
