Prescription Guarantee

American Eyecare has a 100% accuracy guarantee on all eyeglass prescriptions placed through our Lab or we will remake them at no charge. All prescription eyeglasses pass stringent quality control processes before being dispensed to our customers; lenses are checked for accuracy versus the patient’s prescription and are inspected for damage. American Eyecare prides itself in quality workmanship. In the unlikely event that a prescription error or damaged lens makes it through our inspection process, we will promptly and courteously remake the lenses at no cost to the patient.

Lens Adaption Guarantee

Lenses may require a few days of adaptation – typically 5-14 days. Within 60 days of pick-up, if you need to change your lens type, we will remake your lenses at no charge. You will be charged for any additional expense above the original order. We will issue a credit for the difference if your new lens choice is less expensive. This is an office credit only – there will be no refunds. Credits may be transferred to family members.

Manufacturer’s Defects – Sun & Ophthalmic Frames

American Eyecare protects your prescription and non-prescription eyewear from manufacturer’s defects and will replace defective frames or lenses at no charge within 60 days of pick-up. Please notify us immediately if you suspect a defect. If you would like to extend protection beyond 60 days, you can purchase American Eyecare’s Optional Warranty Protection to cover your new eyewear from breakage or damage for one year from date of pick-up.

Benefit Programs

If an order is placed and insurance or a benefit is presented after initial order, we cannot accept your coverage. However, we will be happy to help you file your claim manually with your insurance company. If you are presenting a discount program, we cannot apply it after an order has been placed. You are welcome to apply it to future orders.

Discounts: No insurance or discount plans may be combined with sales, promotions, certain lens packages or certain non-prescription sunglasses. Some frame lines are price controlled by agreement with the manufacturer.

Caring for Your Eyewear

  1. Store your eyewear in the case provided with your purchase. This not only protects them from dust and dirt, but also protects your eyewear from getting scratched, bent, or broken.
  2. Anti-reflective coating can expand and retract in the cold and heat. This will damage your lenses and is not considered normal wear and tear. Protect your eyewear from these damaging conditions!
  3. Always rinse your glasses off with water before wiping or cleaning them. Even tiny particles of dust or dirt can settle on your lens, and if you wipe those around a dry lens, you will damage your lenses. Do not use rough or abrasive materials to clean your eyewear (always avoid solutions containing alcohol or ammonia). American Eyecare has eyewear safe cleaner available for purchase in any of our clinics. The safest cleaner is warm soap and water followed by drying with a microfiber cloth or lens cleaning cloth in a circular motion. Do not use your shirt to clean lenses!
  4. Mirror coatings (Rx or non-Rx glasses) are highly susceptible to scratching, and are excluded from warranty coverages. Keep this in mind when selecting this finish on your sun wear.

Optional Warranty Protection

Purchase our 1 Year Optional Warranty Protection to ensure your eyeglasses are covered, whether you need a repair or a replacement. The warranty must be purchased before your eyeglasses are dispensed to you.

American Eyecare’s optional warranty will cover your new eyewear from breakage or damage for one year from date of pick-up. We offer a one time, no charge replacement of lens only, frame only or both (at the same time). Please note that gluing the frame or lenses or altering the frame in any way will void this warranty. Additionally, you are required to return all pieces of the broken or damaged frame and both lenses (as applicable) when you visit our office to begin your warranty claim. If the warranty is used for a repair or replacement during the effective period, additional warranty coverage does not apply to the repaired or replaced eyewear received after utilizing your warranty. The replacement frame and/or lenses are not eligible for an add-on purchase of the American Eyecare 1 Year Optional Warranty Protection. The replacement is, however, covered by our Manufacturer’s Defects protection found on the other side of this brochure.

If your covered glasses are lost or stolen, they may be replaced at 30% off regular price – limit one time. American Eyecare will replace damaged, lost, or discolored nose pads during the warranty period and will inspect, clean, and adjust your eyewear at no charge.

If your covered product cannot be repaired, if the cost of the repair exceeds the original purchase price, or if parts are no longer available due to the age of the product or due to discontinuance by the manufacturer, we will replace your product with a product of like kind and quality that performs to the factory specifications of the original product.
